a lesson learned, a weirdo revealed, a cake's progress

I learned something important yesterday: while dozing on the bus on your daily commute, try not to have a funny dream because then you'll laugh out loud in your sleep and people don't like that. no, they tend to look at you differently after you do that. although in your defense, you'll wake up as soon as you let out the laugh.

personal highlights from the Michael Jackson special last night: whenever they showed MJ's mannequins, when MJ would call "yoo-hoo!" to the tacky crap Vegas store manager, when MJ ran to climb the tree, when he violently bounced his legs to calm "Blanket" while feeding him, when the cancer-free boy laid his head on MJ's shoulder and held his hand during the interview, and when MJ described how Kieran and Macauley Culkin would sleep over and then they'd go up in the hot air balloon the next morning.

but for real, that documentary was, naturally, disturbing, and a little depressing. it's obvious the manchild lives in a delusional fantasy world. I just feel bad for the people and kids around him and especially for his own "sons" and "daughter."

so I've decided to make Stacey a kick-ass devil's food cake with serious, homemade chocolate frosting when she comes for her birthday next week. I think this everlasting cold weather has brought out the "nest and bake" quality in me because all I want to do is buy the best baking supplies and get to work at making some good, cake-y, homemade shit (in the good way).

not much else for now. so, to sum: I laughed in my sleep on the bus yesterday, Michael Jackson = bad and scary, making cake next weekend.
